Koit Toome's Music Journey
Early Career and Code One
Koit Toome was discovered in 1994 by music producer Mikk Targo. At first, Mikk wanted Koit to be a solo singer. But then, they found that Koit's schoolmate, Sirli Hiius, sounded amazing with him.
So, Koit's solo plan changed into a pop duo called Code One. They had many hit songs that are still popular today. Even though they stopped being an active duo years ago, Koit and Sirli sometimes still perform together.
Eurovision Adventures
In 1998, Koit Toome represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Birmingham. His song was "Mere lapsed" (which means "Children of the Sea"). He finished in 12th place. That same year, he released his first solo album.
