Konrad Cunha Dantas (born September 13, 1988), known as KondZilla, is a famous Brazilian director. He creates and directs many music videos. He also founded KondZilla Records, a company that makes music videos and helps artists.
KondZilla is known for making funk ostentação music popular. He owns the biggest YouTube channel in Brazil and Latin America. It is also the third largest music channel in the world. His channel has over 66 million subscribers and 37 billion views! He also created and directed the Netflix show Sintonia.
Many artists have worked with KondZilla. These include funk, rock, and rap artists. Some famous names are MC Guimê, Mr. Catra, Charlie Brown Jr., and Racionais MC's.
Early Life of KondZilla
Konrad Dantas was born in Guarujá, a city in São Paulo, Brazil. His mother was a teacher and his father was a bricklayer. When he was 18, he worked as a web designer. This was at a university in Santos.
At 18, his mother passed away. She left him some money. He used part of this money to buy a Canon EOS 5D camera. He wanted to start a career in making videos. Later, Dantas moved to the city of São Paulo. There, he studied how to make movies, edit videos, and take photos.
KondZilla's Career Journey
In 2017, KondZilla Records became part of Dantas's production company. This company had been around since 2011. The record label helps manage the careers of many artists. They also release their music videos on KondZilla's YouTube channel.
Some artists managed by KondZilla Records include Kevinho, MC Kekel, and Dani Russo.
KondZilla has made more than 1000 music videos. His YouTube channel has over 50 million subscribers. This is almost half of all YouTube users in Brazil. It is also about 22 percent of Brazil's population. He also has more than 25 billion views on his channel. On February 3, 2018, he became the biggest Brazilian YouTube channel. He passed Whindersson Nunes in subscriber count.
KondZilla also directed DVDs for music groups. He directed Música Popular Caiçara for the rock band Charlie Brown Jr.. He also directed Imagination for MC Boy of Charmes.
