Garfield Delano Spence, known to many as Konshens, is a popular dancehall singer from Jamaica. He is also a talented songwriter and businessman. Konshens started his music journey in 2005 and has been active ever since.

About Konshens

Early Music Career

Before becoming a solo artist, Konshens was part of a music duo called SoJah. He performed alongside his brother, Delus. They worked together to create music.

Konshens had a big hit in 2005 called "Pon Di Corner." This song was very popular in Japan. Because of its success, he went on a month-long tour there. He even released an album just for his fans in Japan.

Rising to Fame

Konshens has released many popular songs. Some of his well-known hits include "Winner," "This Means Money," "Good Girl Gone Bad," and "Gal A Bubble." His music is loved by many people around the world.

He also appeared on Tarrus Riley's album Contagious. Konshens sang on the song "Good Girl Gone Bad," which was also released as a single.

Konshens has a large fan base in places like Kenya, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and Europe. His song "Gal Dem Talk" was a huge hit in Europe. In May 2011, he performed at Guyana's National Stadium for his fans.

Albums and Record Label

In 2010, Konshens released his album Real Talk. It was released by a Japanese music label called Koyashi. He also started his own music label in 2010, called Subkonshus. Through his label, he helps new artists, including his brother Delus.

In 2012, Konshens released his second album, Mental Maintenance.

Brand Ambassador and Collaborations

In March 2014, Konshens became an official brand ambassador for Pepsi. This means he helped promote the popular drink.

In April 2016, he released the single "Bruk Off Yuh Back". A remix of this song by Chris Brown came out in 2017. The music video for "Bruk Off Yuh Back" has been watched over 160 million times online. In 2023, the song received a Silver certification in the UK. This shows how popular it is!

Konshens has also worked with other famous artists. In July 2018, he was featured on the song "I Don't Dance (Without You)" with Matoma and Enrique Iglesias.

Family Life

Konshens is married to Latoya Wright. They got married in Miami, Florida, in November 2017. They have two children named Liam and Sajhi Spence.
