Kopan Monastery facts for kids

History of Kopan Monastery
Kopan Monastery was started by two important teachers, Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche. They bought the land for the monastery in 1969. The name "Kopan" comes from the name of the hill where it was built.
