Kortenaken is a small town, or municipality, located in Belgium. It's part of the Flemish Brabant province, which is in the northern, Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. Kortenaken is made up of a few smaller towns: Hoeleden, Kersbeek-Miskom, Kortenaken itself, Ransberg, and Waanrode.

Boerenrock Festival
The Boerenrock festival was a highlight for many people in Kortenaken and nearby areas. On Friday, the festival featured electronic music. Saturday was dedicated to rock music and a big party. Sunday was a special day for families, with music and activities aimed at children and their parents. Sadly, the last Boerenrock festival took place in 2016.
