Kossuth is a small village located in Alcorn County, Mississippi, in the United States. In 2020, about 160 people lived there.

History of Kossuth
Kossuth started as a settlement called "New Hope" in the 1840s. It's about 10 miles (16 km) southwest of a larger city called Corinth.
In 1852, the people decided to change the village's name. They chose "Kossuth" to honor a famous Hungarian hero named Lajos Kossuth. He was a leader who fought for democracy and freedom in Hungary during a big revolution in 1848.
Geography of Kossuth
Kossuth covers an area of about 1.0 square mile (2.5 km²), and all of it is land. The village is mainly located around where Mississippi Highway 2 (also known as Kossuth Road) meets County Road 604. This area is southwest of Corinth.
Roads and Connections
Mississippi Highway 2 connects Kossuth to U.S. Route 72, which is on the edge of Corinth. Another road, Wheeler Grove Road, links the village to U.S. Route 45 near Rienzi to the southeast.
