Kota Fukatsu (深津 康太, Fukatsu Kōta, born 10 August 1984) is a Japanese football player. He plays as a defender, which means his main job is to stop the other team from scoring goals. He currently plays for Iwate Grulla Morioka.

Kota Fukatsu's Football Journey
Kota Fukatsu started his football career in high school. He played for Ryutsu Keizai University Kashiwa High School from 2000 to 2002. This was where he developed his skills as a young player.
Early Professional Career
After high school, Kota Fukatsu joined his first professional club, Nagoya Grampus Eight, in 2003. He played there until 2006. During this time, he also spent some time on loan at Mito HollyHock in 2005. A loan means he played for a different team for a short period.
In 2006, he moved to Kashiwa Reysol. These early years helped him gain experience in different Japanese football leagues.
Playing for FC Gifu and FC Machida Zelvia
From 2007 to 2008, Kota Fukatsu played for FC Gifu. He was an important part of their team during these two seasons.
He then joined FC Machida Zelvia for the first time in 2009. He played there for two years, until 2010. This was a significant period for him.
Time at Tokyo Verdy
In 2011, Kota Fukatsu moved to Tokyo Verdy. He played for this club for two seasons, until 2012. Playing for different teams helped him grow as a defender.
Return to FC Machida Zelvia
