Kourtney Kardashian Barker (born Kourtney Mary Kardashian on April 18, 1979) is an American media personality and socialite. She is best known for starring in the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians with her family starting in 2007.

The show was so popular that it led to spin-off shows like Kourtney and Kim Take Miami and Kourtney and Kim Take New York. After 20 seasons, the family started a new reality show called The Kardashians on Hulu in 2022.

Along with her sisters Kim and Khloé, Kourtney is involved in the fashion world. They have created clothing lines and perfumes. The sisters also wrote a book together called Kardashian Konfidential in 2010. In 2019, Kourtney started her own lifestyle website called Poosh.

Early Life

Kourtney Mary Kardashian was born in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner. She is the oldest of four children. She has two younger sisters, Kim and Khloé, and a younger brother, Rob.

In 1991, her parents divorced. Her mother later married Caitlyn Jenner, an Olympic gold medal winner. Through this marriage, Kourtney gained stepbrothers, a stepsister, and two half-sisters, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.

Kourtney went to Marymount High School, an all-girls Catholic school in Los Angeles. After high school, she attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, for two years. She then moved to Tucson, Arizona, and graduated from the University of Arizona. She earned a degree in Theatre Arts and also studied Spanish.

In 1994, her father became famous as a lawyer for football player O. J. Simpson during his murder trial.

Becoming a TV Star

Kourtney first appeared on a reality show in 2005 called Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive, where she helped raise money for charity. Her family's big break came in 2007. Her sister Kim became very famous, which brought a lot of attention to the whole family.

Their mother, Kris Jenner, worked with producer Ryan Seacrest to create a reality show about their family. The show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, first aired on October 14, 2007. It showed the daily lives of Kourtney, her siblings, her mom, and her stepdad.

The show was a huge hit and led to many spin-offs. In 2009, Kourtney and her sister Khloé starred in Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami. This show followed them as they opened a clothing store in Miami, Florida.

Kourtney and her sisters have been involved in many businesses. They co-owned a clothing store called D-A-S-H, which had locations in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York City. The stores closed in 2018. Kourtney and her mother also opened children's clothing stores called Smooch.

In 2010, the sisters launched a clothing line for the store Bebe. They also created a clothing line called K-Dash for the shopping channel QVC. That same year, they released a sunless tanner called Kardashian Glamour Tan.

The sisters also designed a jewelry line and represented a skincare line called PerfectSkin. They were spokeswomen for a diet supplement called Quick Trim. In 2012, a lawsuit was filed against the company and the sisters. The lawsuit claimed that the marketing for the product was misleading.

In 2017, Kourtney launched her first solo fashion line with the website PrettyLittleThing. A year later, she worked with her half-sister Kylie to create a collection of lipsticks for Kylie Cosmetics.

Recent Work

In March 2019, Kourtney launched her lifestyle website, Poosh. Later that year, she and her sisters created three new perfumes for Kim's brand, KKW Fragrance. Each sister had her own unique scent.

After Keeping Up with the Kardashians ended in 2021, the family started a new show. In April 2022, The Kardashians premiered on Hulu. The show continues to follow the lives of the Kardashian-Jenner family.

In September 2022, Kourtney launched a health brand called Lemme. The brand sells vitamins and gummy supplements.

Personal Life

Kourtney has three children with her former partner, Scott Disick. Their relationship and the births of their children were often shown on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. They were in an on-and-off relationship from 2006 to 2015.

In January 2021, Kourtney began dating musician Travis Barker. They got engaged in October 2021. The couple had an unofficial wedding in Las Vegas in April 2022. They officially married in Santa Barbara, California, on May 15, 2022. They had a large wedding celebration in Portofino, Italy, on May 22, 2022. In November 2023, they welcomed their first child together, a son.

In October 2019, Kourtney and her children were baptized in an Armenian Apostolic church in Armenia. This is part of her family's heritage.
