Kimberly Noel Kardashian (born October 21, 1980) is an American media personality, socialite, and businesswoman. She first became known as a friend and stylist to celebrity Paris Hilton. She gained more attention in 2007 when a private video was released without her permission.
Later that year, she and her family starred in the reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The show was very popular and aired until 2021. Its success led to several spin-off shows. A new series, The Kardashians, began on Hulu in 2022.
Kardashian is also a successful entrepreneur. In 2019, she founded Skims, a company that sells shapewear and clothing. Skims is valued at over $4 billion. She also launched a skincare line called Sknn by Kim in 2022. She has released other products, including the popular mobile game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood (2014).
Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in 2015. She has a huge following on social media, with millions of followers on Instagram and Twitter. Early Life and Family
Kimberly Noel Kardashian was born in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are Robert Kardashian and Kris Kardashian. She has an older sister, Kourtney Kardashian, a younger sister, Khloé Kardashian, and a younger brother, Rob Kardashian. Her father was a well-known lawyer.
In 1991, her parents divorced. Her mother married Caitlyn Jenner, an Olympic champion. Through this marriage, Kim gained step-siblings and two half-sisters, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.
Kardashian went to Marymount High School, an all-girls Catholic school. Her father represented football player O. J. Simpson in his famous murder trial in 1994. Simpson was Kim's godfather. Her father passed away from cancer in 2003.
As a teenager, she was good friends with Paris Hilton. Through Hilton, she started to get attention from the media. She worked at a clothing store for four years to learn about business.

How Her Career Started (2003–2006)
By 2003, Kardashian was working as a personal stylist for the singer Brandy Norwood. In 2006, she started working as a stylist for her childhood friend, Paris Hilton. She appeared in some episodes of Hilton's reality show, The Simple Life. She was often photographed with Hilton at parties and events.
A public relations expert who worked with Hilton said that Kardashian was determined to build a successful brand. Photographers began taking pictures of her, and she started to become more famous.
Becoming a Household Name (2007–2010)
In 2007, a private video of Kardashian and her then-boyfriend Ray J was released online. This brought her a lot of public attention.
In October 2007, the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered. It featured Kim, her mother, step-parent, sisters, and brother. The show was a huge hit for the E! network. It led to spin-offs like Kourtney and Kim Take New York.

In April 2012, Kardashian began dating rapper and longtime friend Kanye West. They got engaged on her 33rd birthday and married in May 2014 in Florence, Italy. Their relationship received a lot of media attention.
