Ksenia Solo (born October 8, 1987) is a Canadian actress who was born in Latvia. She is well-known for playing Mackenzie "Kenzi" Malikov in the TV show Lost Girl. She also played Peggy Shippen in Turn: Washington's Spies and Shay Davydov in Orphan Black.
Her most recent work includes being a main cast member for two seasons of the series Project Blue Book (2019–2020).

Early Life and Moving to Canada
Ksenia Solo was born in Riga, which is in Latvia. Her family is of Russian heritage. When she was five years old, her family moved to Toronto, Canada, where she grew up.
Ksenia studied ballet for many years. She continued dancing until she was 14. A back injury made her stop her ballet training. Her mother was also a ballerina before she became an actress.
Acting Career and Famous Roles
Ksenia Solo began her acting career in Canadian television. She played a character named Zoey Jones in the TV series renegadepress.com. For her work on this show, she won the Gemini Award twice. She received the award in both 2005 and 2006. These awards were for Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program or Series.
She appeared in other Canadian shows and movies. These included films like Love Thy Neighbor and Mayday. She also guest-starred in the TV series Kojak.
In 2010, Ksenia had a small role in the movie Black Swan. This film starred famous actresses Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. From 2010 to 2011, she played Natasha Siviac in the CW series Life Unexpected.

From 2010 to 2015, Ksenia Solo starred as Kenzi in the Showcase series Lost Girl. Her own Russian background and her ability to speak Russian were included in her character's story.
