Ksenia Solo (born October 8, 1987) is a talented actress from Latvia and Canada. She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows. Many fans recognize her as Kenzi from the fantasy series Lost Girl. She also played Peggy Shippen in the historical drama Turn: Washington's Spies. Ksenia Solo has appeared in other shows like Life Unexpected as Natasha and Orphan Black as Shay Davydov.

Ksenia Solo was born in Riga, a city in Latvia. Her family has Russian roots. When she was five years old, she moved with her family to Toronto, Canada, where she grew up.
Ksenia loved ballet and studied it seriously. However, at age 14, a back injury meant she had to stop dancing. Her mother was also a ballerina before she became an actress.

Ksenia Solo started her acting journey on the APTN series renegadepress.com. She played the character Zoey Jones. Her performance was so good that she won the Gemini Award twice. She received this award in both 2005 and 2006 for being the Best Performer in a Children's or Youth Program.
After this, she appeared in other Canadian TV shows and movies. These included films like Love Thy Neighbor and Mayday. She also guest-starred in the TV series Kojak.
Big Screen and TV Success
In 2010, Ksenia Solo had a small role in the movie Black Swan. This film starred famous actresses Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. From 2010 to 2011, she played Natasha Siviac in the CW series Life Unexpected.
Her most famous role was from 2010 to 2015. She starred as Kenzi in the Canadian series Lost Girl. Ksenia's own Russian background and ability to speak Russian were even included in her character's story. She also played Dodge in the pilot episode of Locke & Key.
