Eugene Kwame Marfo (born on February 1, 1997), known by his stage name Kuami Eugene, is a talented singer, songwriter, and music producer from Ghana. He creates music in the Highlife and Afrobeat styles. Kuami Eugene works with music labels like Lynx Entertainment and Empire Distribution.
He is famous for many songs, including "Angela", "Wish Me Well", and "Ohemaa". Kuami Eugene has won several important awards. In 2017 and 2018, he won "Unsung Artist" and "New Artist" at the Ghana Music Awards. He also received the "Most Promising Artist in Africa" award from AFRIMA. In 2019, he won "Album of the Year" and "Highlife Artist of the Year" at the Ghana Music Awards. He was even named "Artist of the Year" in 2020!

Early Life and Musical Beginnings
Kuami Eugene was born in Akim Oda, Ghana, to Alex and Juliana Marfo. From a very young age, he loved music. He started singing in church and learned to play instruments like the drum, keyboard, and guitar.
He went to Salvation Army Senior High School in Akim-Wenchi. Later, he studied at Ghana Communication Technology University. Kuami Eugene grew up in a part of Accra called Fadama.
Kuami Eugene's Music Journey
Kuami Eugene's big break came when he joined the MTN Hitmaker TV show. This was a reality competition for singers in Ghana. In 2016, he competed in Season 5 and finished in third place.
Soon after the show, he joined Lynx Entertainment. He then released many popular songs. In 2017, his song "Angela" became a huge hit, getting over one million views on YouTube. This was a record for his music label! He also sang on "Adwenfi" with DJ Vyrusky and Shatta Wale.
In 2018, he released "Confusion", which continued the story from "Angela". That same year, he released "Wish Me Well". He wrote this song because of some negative comments he saw online.
Kuami Eugene has performed at many big concerts. These include Sarkodie's annual Rapperholic Concert and the Ghana Music Honors. He has also performed internationally, like at Oh My Festival in Amsterdam and the Afrobeats to the World concert in New York. In May 2022, he released his song 'Take Away' and performed at Afrochella in Ghana. He continues to release popular songs like "Monica" and "Canopy".
