Kuami Eugene, whose real name is Eugene Kwame Marfo, was born on February 1, 1997. He is a very popular singer, songwriter, and music producer from Ghana. He is famous for his unique blend of Highlife and Afrobeats music. Kuami Eugene works with Lynx Entertainment and Empire Distribution. He is well-known for many hit songs like "Angela", "Wish Me Well", and "Ohemaa".
He has won several important awards. In 2017 and 2018, he won the Unsung and New Artist awards at the Ghana Music Awards. He also received the Most Promising Artist in Africa award from AFRIMA. In 2019, Kuami Eugene won Album of the Year, Producer of the Year, and Highlife Artist of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards. He was named Artist of the Year and High-life Artist of the Year at the 2020 Ghana Music Awards.

Early Life and Music Start
Kuami Eugene was born to Alex and Juliana Marfo in Akim Oda, Ghana. He loved music from a young age. He started singing in church and learned to play the drum, keyboard, and guitar there. He went to Salvation Army Senior High School in Akim-Wenchi. Later, he studied at Ghana Communication Technology University. He grew up in Accra, a city in Ghana.
Kuami Eugene's Music Journey
Kuami Eugene's big break came when he joined the MTN Hitmaker competition. In 2016, he was a contestant on season 5 of this reality show in Ghana. He finished in third place. Soon after, he signed with Lynx Entertainment. He then released many popular songs.
In 2017, his song "Angela" reached one million views on YouTube. This was a huge achievement for an artist on his label. "Angela" was also one of the top 10 songs played in Ghana. He was also featured on "Adwenfi" by DJ Vyrusky and Shatta Wale. In 2018, he released "Confusion," which continued the story from "Angela." In June 2018, he released "Wish Me Well." He wrote this song because of some negative comments he received online.
Kuami Eugene has performed at many big events. On December 25, 2017, he performed at Sarkodie's annual Rapperholic Concert. That same year, he performed at the Ghana Music Honors and the Ghana Independence Celebration Show in London. He has also performed at Oh My Festival in Amsterdam, the Afrobeats to the World concert in New York, and Afronation in Ghana.
In May 2022, Kuami Eugene released his song 'Take Away'. He also performed at the 2022 Afrochella in Ghana. Kuami Eugene continues to release hit songs every year. Some of his recent popular songs include "Monica", "Canopy", "Problem", and "Showdown".

Special Recognition
At the 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, famous High-life artist Amakye Dede named Kuami Eugene as his successor in High-life music. This was a very special moment.
At the 21st Vodafone Music Awards, held at the Accra International Conference Centre, Kuami Eugene won the Artist of the Year award. He won against other top artists like Sarkodie, Medikal, Kofi Kinaata, and Diana Hamilton.
