Roads and Travel
Kuhnsville is an important spot for major roads. It's the western end of the Lehigh Valley Thruway. This is a big highway, and originally, it ended right here. Today, US 22 has an exit in Kuhnsville that connects to Tilghman Street. If you're driving west on US 22, the exit sign will say "Kuhnsville."
The Thruway now goes a bit further west. About half a mile away, US 22 joins up with I-78.
Kuhnsville is about a mile east of Fogelsville. Tilghman Street is the main local road. It runs through Fogelsville, Chapmans, and Kuhnsville, and then continues towards Cetronia and Allentown. Another major highway, Interstate 476, also known as the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, helps mark the eastern edge of Kuhnsville. I-476 also has an interchange with US 22 right at the eastern side of Kuhnsville.
