Kyle Thomas Harvey (born May 18, 1993), known as Kyle or SuperDuperKyle, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. He grew up in Ventura, California. Kyle became well-known for his song "iSpy" (featuring Lil Yachty) in 2016. This song became very popular, reaching number 4 on the Billboard music chart.

Kyle has worked with many other artists like Kehlani, G-Eazy, and Chance the Rapper. Besides "iSpy", some of his other popular songs include "King Wavy" and "Playinwitme". In 2015, Rolling Stone magazine recognized him as an artist to watch. His first studio album, Light of Mine, came out in 2018. It was liked by critics and reached the top 30 on the Billboard album chart. Kyle also started acting in the 2018 Netflix movie The After Party.

Early Life and Music Beginnings

Kyle Harvey was born in Reseda, Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Ventura, about an hour away. Kyle has mentioned that he had a speech impediment when he was younger. He took drama classes in high school, which helped him feel more confident.

He started singing when he was only six years old. By elementary school, he was already writing his own songs. Kyle began rapping around age 13. He was inspired by Kid Cudi's music. His first songs were recorded using his aunt's computer while he was still in high school.

Early Mixtapes and First Successes

From 2009 to 2012, Kyle released several mixtapes. These included Senior Year and Super Duper. He used names like KiddKash and K.i.D for his early music.

In 2013, Kyle released his first official mixtape, Beautiful Loser. This was a big step in his career. In 2015, he released another mixtape called Smyle. This album reached number 76 on the Billboard 200 chart. It featured a song with Chance the Rapper called "Remember Me?". Later that year, his music video for "Keep It Real" reached over one million views.

Breakthrough and Studio Albums

In December 2016, Kyle released the song "iSpy" with Lil Yachty. This song quickly became very popular. It reached number 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Because of its success, Kyle signed a deal with Atlantic Records in February 2017.

In 2017, Kyle was chosen as one of the "XXL Freshmen" by XXL magazine. This list highlights new and rising hip-hop artists.

Kyle made his acting debut in the Netflix original movie The After Party. The film was released on August 24, 2018, and Kyle played the main character, Owen Ellison. He also released a song from the movie called "Moment" with Wiz Khalifa. In 2021, he appeared in the film Cherry. From 2019 to 2020, he was also a main cast member in the TV show Sugar and Toys.
