Kyle Barri Duncan (born August 8, 1997) is an American professional soccer player. He plays as a right-back for the Major League Soccer club New York Red Bulls.

Kyle Duncan's Soccer Journey
Early Years and Youth Training
Kyle Duncan was born in Brooklyn, New York. He started his soccer journey at the New York Red Bulls Academy. This is a special training program for young players. In 2014, Kyle played for the Red Bulls' reserve team. He also started 13 games for the under-18 team that fall.
In 2015, Kyle decided not to sign a professional contract with New York Red Bulls II. Instead, he wanted to try playing soccer in Europe.
Playing in France with Valenciennes
In October 2015, Kyle signed a two-year contract with Valenciennes. This club plays in Ligue 2, a professional soccer league in France. During his first year, he played for the reserve team, Valenciennes II. He made his first appearance on May 14, 2016.
For the 2016–17 season, Kyle moved up to the main Valenciennes team. However, he did not play in any Ligue 2 games during that season.
Return to the New York Red Bulls
After two seasons in France, Kyle Duncan came back to the United States. He joined the Red Bulls for pre-season training in January 2018. On March 9, 2018, the New York Red Bulls officially signed him to a Major League Soccer contract. They were impressed by his hard work.
Kyle started his first MLS game the very next day. It was against Portland Timbers, and the Red Bulls won 4–0. People noticed how well he played in that game.
Playing for Red Bulls II
On March 15, 2018, Kyle also joined New York Red Bulls II on a loan. This meant he could play for both teams. He played his second MLS game for the main Red Bulls team just two days later. He also got his first MLS assist on March 24, 2018. Sadly, his season ended early because of an ACL injury on March 31, 2018.
In 2019, Kyle was loaned to New York Red Bulls II again. On August 21, 2019, he scored his first professional goal for them. After playing well, he was called back to the main team. On September 19, 2019, Kyle scored his first MLS goal for the New York Red Bulls.
Strong Performances in 2020
Kyle started the 2020 season as a regular player for New York. On March 1, he scored the first goal of the season and helped with two others in a 3–2 win. On August 20, 2020, he scored the only goal in a 1–0 win against rival New York City FC. This game is known as the Hudson River Derby.
Kyle continued to play well throughout 2020. On October 24, 2020, he scored a goal in a 2–2 draw. Because of his great play, Kyle was named the New York Red Bulls Defensive Player of the Year for 2020.
In 2021, Kyle helped New York win 2–0 on June 18, scoring one goal that season. He was one of the team's best players, playing in 33 games. He scored one goal and made three assists.
Time with Oostende in Belgium
On November 26, 2021, Kyle Duncan moved to a Belgian club called Oostende. He joined them for free. On January 21, 2022, Kyle made his first appearance for Oostende. He played the whole game as a right wing-back. On February 19, 2022, he played in a big 1–0 win for Oostende. He played in seven games for Oostende, starting all of them.
Loan Back to New York Red Bulls
On August 5, 2022, it was announced that Kyle would return to the New York Red Bulls on loan. He played for them until the end of the 2022 season. On January 15, 2023, he was loaned to the Red Bulls again for the 2023 MLS season.
Permanent Return to New York Red Bulls
At the end of the 2023 MLS season, the New York Red Bulls made Kyle's transfer permanent. He is now signed with the team through the 2025 MLS season. On July 20, 2024, Kyle scored his first goal of the season in a 3–1 win against FC Cincinnati.
Playing for His Country
Kyle Duncan has played for the United States national soccer teams at different age levels. He played for the under-18 and under-20 teams. He made his debut for the senior national team on December 9, 2020. He came into the game during a 6–0 friendly win against El Salvador.
