Kym Herjavec (born Kym Johnson on August 4, 1976) is a talented Australian professional ballroom dancer. She is also a well-known television star. Kym became famous for her appearances on the TV show Dancing with the Stars.
She started her journey on the Australian version of the show. Later, she moved to the U.S. version. Kym was a professional dancer on the U.S. show from 2006 to 2015. She also returned for its 24th season in 2017. From 2013 to 2015, Kym was a judge on the Australian Dancing with the Stars. She is married to Robert Herjavec.

Kym Herjavec's Dance Journey
Kym Herjavec started dancing when she was only three years old. She began learning ballroom dancing at 13. In 1998, Kym and her dance partner, Tomas Atkocevicius, achieved second place. This was at the Australian Dancesport Championship. They also reached the finals at the U.K. Ballroom Championships in Blackpool. Kym stopped competitive ballroom dancing in 2001. However, she continued to perform on stage.
Since 2001, Kym has been part of many exciting events and shows. These include:

Dancing in Australia
Kym Johnson's first big TV role was on Dancing with the Stars. This show is a competition where celebrities learn ballroom dances. She was a professional dancer on the show.
Kym appeared in Seasons 1, 2, and 3 of the Australian Dancing with the Stars. In Season 2, she and her partner, TV presenter Tom Williams, won the competition. They later performed in a special "Champion of Champion" series. Kym also made a guest appearance in Season 4. She danced with musician Alex Lloyd in the Grand Final.
In 2013, Kym was a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice Australia. She was eliminated in the fourth week. Later in 2013, Kym became a judge on the Australian Dancing with the Stars.

Dancing in the United States
In 2006, Kym joined the U.S. version of Dancing with the Stars. She was partnered with talk show host Jerry Springer in Season 3. They were a popular couple and finished in 7th place. After the show, Kym toured America with the Dancing with the Stars tour.
Kym returned for Season 4, partnering with N'Sync member Joey Fatone. They were the runners-up that season. For Season 5, her partner was billionaire Mark Cuban. They were voted off in the fifth week. In Season 6, she danced with magician Penn Jillette. They were the first couple eliminated.
In Season 7, Kym partnered with former NFL player Warren Sapp. They finished in second place, making it Kym's second time as a runner-up. For Season 8, Kym was paired with actor David Alan Grier. They were eliminated in the fifth week.
Kym and Donny Osmond were partners for Season 9. They won the competition on November 24, 2009. This made Kym the first professional dancer to win the title in two different countries.
In Season 11, Kym was partnered with actor David Hasselhoff. They were the first couple to be eliminated. For Season 12, Kym partnered with athlete Hines Ward. They won the season on May 24, 2011.

5678 Fitness
In October 2015, Kym Johnson announced her first fitness DVD, 5678 Fitness. She also released a book called The 5678 Diet in January 2016.
5678 Fitness is a home workout program. It uses cardio-Latin dance routines. These routines combine high energy dancing with a full body workout. In her book, The 5678 Diet, Kym shares her life lessons. She also includes nutrition and exercise plans. The book features recipes and stories from her celebrity dance partners.
Kym Herjavec's Family Life
In September 2015, Kym Johnson confirmed her relationship with Robert Herjavec. He was her partner on Dancing with the Stars Season 20. They got engaged on February 27, 2016. Kym and Robert married on July 31, 2016, in Los Angeles. After their marriage, Kym changed her last name to Herjavec. In 2018, Kym and Robert welcomed their twins.
