Kyron Hayden, born on June 7, 1999, is a former Australian rules football player. He played for the North Melbourne Kangaroos in the Australian Football League (AFL). The AFL is Australia's biggest professional league for Australian Rules Football.

Kyron started his football journey playing junior games for Subiaco in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). He was then chosen by North Melbourne in the 2017 AFL draft.

AFL Career Highlights

Kyron Hayden made his first appearance in the AFL during the 2019 season. This was a big moment for him, but it also brought a challenge.

Debut and Early Challenges

In his very first AFL game, Kyron unfortunately suffered a serious injury. He ruptured his achilles tendon, which is a strong cord at the back of your ankle. This injury meant he could not play for the rest of the 2019 season.

Returning to the Field

Kyron worked hard to recover from his injury. He returned to play in the 2020 season. In a game against the Richmond Tigers, he had a collision with another player, Tom Lynch. Kyron was knocked to the ground and had to be taken off the field on a stretcher. Luckily, it was only a minor concussion, and he was able to recover.

End of His AFL Journey

Kyron Hayden played a total of 17 AFL games for North Melbourne. At the end of the 2022 season, he was delisted by the club. This means he was no longer part of the team's playing list.

Personal Life

Kyron Hayden has Aboriginal heritage. His father's parents came from the areas of Merredin and Katanning in Western Australia.
