A Long History
Discovering the Special Water
The natural springs at Kyselka were found a very long time ago. The first time anyone wrote about them was in the year 1522. That's over 500 years ago! In the 1600s, a noble family called the Counts of Černín owned the land. They were kind enough to let people drink the Kyselka mineral water for free.
From Springs to Spa
People started using the springs for spa treatments in 1792. By this time, the special water was already very well known. The first buildings for the spa were constructed between 1826 and 1832. A man named Wilhelm von Neuberg oversaw this important work.
Famous Visitors
Over the years, many important people visited Kyselka Spa to enjoy its waters. One of the most famous visitors was Otto of Greece, who was the King of Greece. He loved the water so much that he even had it sent all the way to Athens, the capital city of Greece!
