The LGBTQ Sports Hall of Fame is a special place that honors athletes and others who have made a big difference in sports. This happened soon after Jason Collins became the first NBA player to openly share that he was gay.

In 2025, the Sports Equality Foundation took over the Hall of Fame. They now manage its operations. The Hall of Fame was also renamed the LGBTQ Sports Hall of Fame at that time.
