LaJuan Ramsey, born on March 19, 1984, is a former American football player. He played as a defensive tackle. He was chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2006 NFL draft. Before that, he played college football at the University of Southern California. Ramsey also played for several other teams, including the Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams.

College Football Career

LaJuan Ramsey played college football at the University of Southern California (USC). He was a key player for four years. During his time, the USC football team had an amazing record. They won 48 games and lost only 4. They also won two national championships!

As a senior, he was recognized for his great play. He earned an honorable mention for the All-Pac-10 team. He started 11 games in 2005. In those games, he made 40 tackles.

Playing in the NFL

LaJuan Ramsey was picked by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL draft. He played in six games during his first year. He was a reserve defensive tackle. In his rookie season, he even made an interception. This happened in a game against Green Bay. He caught a pass that was tipped by another player.

In 2007, Ramsey played in nine games for the Eagles. This was his career high for games played in a season. He made nine tackles that year. He was released by the Eagles in June 2008.

Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts signed LaJuan Ramsey on September 11, 2008. He played in four games for the Colts. During his time there, he made six tackles. He was released by the team in October of the same year.

St. Louis Rams

On September 6, 2009, the St. Louis Rams picked up LaJuan Ramsey. He played in 15 games for the Rams. He started in five of those games. He made 16 tackles, had one sack, and forced one fumble. He was released by the Rams in March 2010.

Life After Football: Cooking!

After his football career, LaJuan Ramsey found a new passion: cooking! He started working at Morel's French Steakhouse & Bistro in Los Angeles.

He later appeared on a TV show called Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell. LaJuan won the episode! He did a great job during the dinner service challenge. For winning, he was offered a job as the new executive chef. This was at Christy Bono's restaurant, Christy's on Broadway. However, he decided not to take the job.
