LaKendrick "Ken" Jones (born September 8, 1979) is a former American football player. He was a lineman, which means he played on both the offensive and defensive lines. Ken played for six seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL) and also spent some time with the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League (NFL).

Ken Jones's College Football Journey
Before playing professionally, Ken Jones was a star player for the South Carolina State Bulldogs. He played college football from 1998 to 2002. In his final year, 2002, he played in all 12 games. He made 53 tackles, which means he stopped the opposing team's players 53 times. He also had 10 sacks, which is when a defensive player tackles the opposing team's quarterback.
Ken Jones's Professional Career
After college, Ken Jones moved on to play professional football. He played in two different major leagues: the NFL and the AFL.
Playing in the NFL: San Francisco 49ers
After the 2003 NFL Draft, where players are chosen by professional teams, Ken Jones signed with the San Francisco 49ers. This happened on May 2, 2003. However, he was released by the team a couple of months later, on July 16, 2003.
Playing in the AFL: Columbus Destroyers
Ken Jones then joined the Arena Football League, which is a type of indoor football. He signed with the Columbus Destroyers on November 14, 2003. He played for the Destroyers from 2004 to 2007. During his time with the team, he was recognized as one of the best players in the league. In 2007, he earned the honor of being named to the First Team All-Arena. This means he was considered one of the top players in the entire Arena Football League that year.
Playing in the AFL: Los Angeles Avengers
After his time with the Destroyers, Ken Jones signed with the Los Angeles Avengers. This happened on October 29, 2007. He played for the Avengers during the 2008 season.
Playing in the AFL: Georgia Force
Later in his career, Ken Jones signed with another AFL team, the Georgia Force. He joined them on May 3, 2011.
