La Bou is a popular chain of bakery-café restaurants. It started in the Sacramento area of California. At La Bou, you can find yummy sandwiches, warm soups, fresh salads, and lots of different breads and pastries. They also have locations in other California cities like Auburn, Roseville, Folsom, and Elk Grove. You can choose to eat inside or take your food to go!
The Story of La Bou
The very first La Bou store opened its doors in 1982. The owner, Trong Nguyen, made delicious croissants by hand. People loved them!
Over the years, La Bou grew quite a bit. It expanded to include 26 company-owned stores and franchised locations. All of these places served those famous croissants and espresso drinks. They also added pastries, soups, salads, and sandwiches to their menu.
Where You Can Find La Bou
In the Sacramento area, La Bou has stores in many neighborhoods. These include South Land Park, Fruitridge Road, Madison, and Howe. You can also find them in West Sacramento and on 9th Street and 11th Street.
Outside of Sacramento, La Bou has locations in other California cities. These include Folsom, Elk Grove, Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay, and Carmichael.
La Bou Online and Catering
La Bou also has a way for businesses to order food. In 1999, they started a special service called "La Bou Delivers." This service provides catering for local companies.
As of early 2023, the company had 13 locations. New La Bou franchises are no longer being offered.
