La Falda is a lovely town in the Córdoba province of Argentina. It is about 79 kilometers (49 miles) from the city of Córdoba. The town is also about 800 kilometers (497 miles) from Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. In 2001, La Falda had around 15,000 people living there.
La Falda is located at the base of two smaller mountains. These are called Cerro El Cuadrado and Cerro La Banderita. The town is part of a popular tourist area known as the Punilla Valley. This valley has other fun places to visit, such as Villa Carlos Paz, Los Cocos, La Cumbre, and Capilla del Monte.
One very famous place in La Falda is the historic "Eden Hotel". This hotel is now a public park and a museum. Even the famous scientist Albert Einstein once visited it! The main street in town, where most of the action happens, is called "Avenue Eden".

The Seven Cascades
The 7 Cascades is a beautiful natural park. It features several small waterfalls. This park also has a big public swimming pool, which is great for cooling off on a warm day.
El Silencio Castle
"El Silencio" is an old colonial castle. It was built in the 17th century, which means it's over 300 years old! This castle is about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from downtown La Falda. At El Silencio, you can enjoy fishing and watching trout in the water.
Tatu Carreta Ecological Park
"Tatu Carreta" is an Ecological Park and Zoo. It's about 8 kilometers (5 miles) from the town center, on the road towards Córdoba. This park offers a unique "safari" style experience. You can drive through it and see many local and exotic animals up close.
Rally Argentina Special Stage
The area around La Falda has also been used for a special stage of Rally Argentina. This is an exciting car racing event that attracts many fans.
