La Guardia de Jaén is a small town in the province of Jaén, Spain. It is also officially known as Guardia de Jaén, La. Long ago, during the Iberian and Roman times, it was called Mentesa Bastia.
This town is located at the western edge of the Sierra Mágina mountains. It sits on a hill called Cerro de San Marcos. From here, it looks over the valley of the Guadalbullón River.
