The Laberge River is a small river in Canada. It flows into Lake Hebert. The river runs through parts of Quebec and Ontario.

People use the land around the river for logging, which means cutting down trees. They also enjoy fun activities like fishing and boating.

The river usually freezes over in winter. This happens from mid-November to late April. It is safest to walk or play on the ice from mid-December to early April.

Where the Laberge River Flows

The Laberge River starts at Icefield Lake. This lake is in Ontario, near the border with Quebec. It is about 290 meters (950 feet) above sea level.

The river is about 10.6 kilometers (6.6 miles) long. It flows in different directions along its path:

  • First, it flows south and then east for about 3.5 kilometers (2.2 miles) in Ontario. It then crosses into Quebec.
  • Next, it flows for about 0.5 kilometers (0.3 miles) in the Rollet area of Quebec.
  • Then, it flows north for 2.6 kilometers (1.6 miles). During this part, it goes through Lake Laberge. This lake is 2.6 kilometers (1.6 miles) long and 1.9 kilometers (1.2 miles) wide.
  • After that, it continues north for 2.1 kilometers (1.3 miles) into the Montbeillard area.
  • Finally, it flows north for another 1.9 kilometers (1.2 miles) until it reaches its end.

The Laberge River ends by flowing into the south side of Lake Hébert. This meeting point is close to the Quebec-Ontario border.
