Lache J. Seastrunk (pronounced layk; born July 29, 1991) is an American former professional football running back. He played college football at Baylor. The Washington Redskins picked him in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football
Lache Seastrunk grew up in Temple, Texas. He went to Temple High School. During his time there, he was an amazing football player. He ran for 4,127 yards and scored 52 touchdowns.
In 2009, USA Today named him one of the best high school football players in the country. Experts at Rivals.com thought he was a top player. They called him a "five-star prospect," which means he was one of the very best running backs in his age group. He also played in the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, a special game for top high school players.
Talent in Track and Field
Besides football, Lache was also a great track athlete. He was very fast! He could run 100 meters in just 10.50 seconds. He also had a long jump record of 6.60 meters. When he was only 13 years old and in eighth grade, he broke three school records at Temple High School. These records were for the 100 meters, 400 meters, and long jump.
College Football Career
Lache first went to the University of Oregon for his freshman year. Later, in 2011, he decided to transfer to Baylor University.
Playing at Baylor
At Baylor, Lache became a key player. Before the end of the 2012 season, he was very confident. He even said he would win the Heisman Trophy the next year! The Heisman Trophy is given to the best college football player. He also said, "I know I am the best back in the country."
Lache finished the 2012 season with 1,012 rushing yards. He carried the ball 131 times. He averaged 138.2 yards per game in the last five games of the season. He also scored five touchdowns during that time. While he didn't win the Heisman Trophy, he was a very strong player.
After the 2013 season, Lache decided to leave college early. On January 6, 2014, he announced he would enter the 2014 NFL draft. This meant he would try to play professional football.

Professional Football Career
Lache Seastrunk was chosen by the Washington Redskins in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was the 186th player picked overall.
Time in the NFL
He signed a four-year contract with the Redskins in May 2014. However, he was released by the team before the 2014 season started. He did not make the final roster.
After leaving the Redskins, Lache joined the practice squad for several other NFL teams:
- Carolina Panthers (September 2014)
- Tennessee Titans (October 2014 – May 2015)
- Dallas Cowboys (June 2015 – August 2015)
- New York Jets (August 2016)
Practice squads allow players to train with a team. They can be signed to the main roster if needed.
Canadian and Indoor Football
Lache also played in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He signed with the Calgary Stampeders in May 2016. He later joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders' practice roster in June 2016.
In 2017, he played indoor football for the CenTex Cavalry in the Champions Indoor Football (CIF) league. He then signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL in May 2017, but was released before the regular season began.
