Laholm Municipality (Laholms kommun) is a local area in southwest Sweden. It is part of Halland County. The main town and center of the municipality is Laholm.
The municipality was created by joining smaller areas together. This happened in two main steps during the 1970s. In 1971, the old City of Laholm joined with two country areas. Three years later, four more areas were added to form the municipality we know today.

Population Information
Laholm Municipality is home to many people. In 2022, there were over 26,000 residents living here. About 20,000 of these people were Swedish citizens old enough to vote.
People in the municipality vote for their leaders. In the 2022 Swedish general election, about 38% voted for parties on the left side of politics. About 60% voted for parties on the right side.
