Lake Butler is a community in Orange County, Florida, United States. It's known as a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it's an area that looks like a town but doesn't have its own city government. Instead, it's managed by the county. Lake Butler completely surrounds another town called Windermere.
In 2020, about 18,851 people lived in Lake Butler. This was a big jump from 2010, when the population was 15,400. Lake Butler is part of the larger Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. This is a big area where many cities and towns are connected.
Some smaller communities are also found within the Lake Butler CDP. These include Isleworth and Summerport Beach.

Lake Butler is located in Florida. It is about 11 miles (18 km) west-southwest of downtown Orlando.

There are many lakes in and around Lake Butler. The biggest one is also called Lake Butler. Other lakes nearby include Lake William Davis, Lake Cypress, Lake Louise, and Lake Bessie. These lakes make the area very beautiful.
