The Story of Lake Cliff
Lake Cliff was built a long time ago, between the years 1899 and 1900. When it was first created, people called it "Lake Llewellyn."
It is believed that a person named Thomas L. Marsalis helped plan how the lake would be built. This was in the summer of 1899. However, in July 1900, Mr. Marsalis had some disagreements with the people who were building the lake. He felt there were "errors in construction" and took legal action to sort things out.
