Lake Gross is a natural freshwater lake located in Winter Haven, Florida. It has an oval shape and covers about 86.57 acres. Sometimes, local people might call it Lake Grassy or Lake Grass, but these names are not widely used.
About Lake Gross
Lake Gross is a beautiful natural lake. It is found on the southern edge of Winter Haven, Florida. The lake is about 2,000 feet (610 meters) southeast of Lake Eloise. It is also about 1,200 feet (366 meters) southwest of Lake Winterset.
Lake Surroundings
The area around Lake Gross is a mix of different landscapes. To the north, you'll find a small park for mobile homes and RVs (recreational vehicles). A much larger park of this type borders the lake to the west.
On the northeast, east, and south sides, the lake is surrounded by open fields called pastures. A road called Eloise Loop Road is located about 200 feet (61 meters) north of the lake.
Accessing the Lake
Lake Gross is a private lake. This means there are no public places to go swimming or launch a boat. The land around the lake is owned by private individuals or groups.
You won't find public boat docks or swimming areas here. However, people with private property on the lake do have their own boat docks.
