Lake Owen is a small, quiet community located in Wisconsin, a state in the United States. It's found in Bayfield County, within the larger Town of Drummond. When we say Lake Owen is an unincorporated community, it means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own separate local government like a city or a village. Instead, it's part of the Town of Drummond.
This community sits right on the western side of a beautiful body of water also called Lake Owen. It's about 20.7 miles (or 33.3 kilometers) north-northeast of a town called Hayward. The community probably got its name from John Owen. He was an important person who helped start the Rust-Owen Lumber Company and was also a director for the Drummond & Southwestern Railroad.
