Lake Panache is a beautiful lake located in the Canadian province of Ontario. It's a popular spot for fun and relaxation, especially during the summer. You can find it in the Sudbury District. A small part of the lake even touches the southern edge of Greater Sudbury, about 10 kilometers south of the town of Whitefish.

It's not known exactly when the lake got its name. But the name "Panache" appeared on maps as early as 1863. Over time, the common English spelling changed to Penage. More recently, official maps and documents have gone back to using the original Panache spelling. However, you might still see "Penage" used sometimes in everyday conversations.

How to Get There: Access Roads
You can reach the lake by two main roads. One is Municipal Road 10, also known as Panache Lake Road, in Greater Sudbury. The other is Penage Lake Road in Espanola. However, much of the lake can only be reached by boat. You can launch your boat from marinas located at the ends of these access roads.

Marinas are like small towns on the water. They offer many services for boaters and cottagers. In the eastern part of Lake Panache, there are places where you can park your car and boat.
