Lake Shore is a community in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, in the United States. It's a place where many people live, but it's not an official city or town. It's located east of Pasadena. In 2010, about 19,477 people lived in Lake Shore.

Where is Lake Shore Located?

Lake Shore is found at 39°5′56″N 76°28′54″W / 39.09889°N 76.48167°W / 39.09889; -76.48167. It sits on a piece of land called the Hog Neck peninsula, which is close to the Chesapeake Bay. The community is partly surrounded by water from the bay. These water areas include the Magothy River to the south and Main Creek to the northeast. To the west, Lake Shore borders Pasadena, near Magothy Bridge Road.

The main road that goes through Lake Shore is Maryland Route 177, also known as Mountain Road. It runs generally from east to west through the middle of the peninsula.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Lake Shore covers a total area of about 45.7 square kilometers (17.6 square miles). Out of this, 34.8 square kilometers (13.4 square miles) is land, and 10.8 square kilometers (4.2 square miles) is water. The water areas are mostly the tidal rivers that are on both sides of the community.
