Lana Therese Condor (born Trần Đồng Lan on May 11, 1997) is an American actress and a popular YouTuber. She first appeared in movies as Jubilee in the superhero film X-Men: Apocalypse in 2016. Lana became famous around the world for playing Lara Jean Covey in the romantic comedy To All the Boys movie series, which ran from 2018 to 2021. She also played Saya Kuroki in the TV show Deadly Class and Koyomi in the film Alita: Battle Angel, both in 2019. More recently, she was the voice of the main character in the animated teen comedy Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken in 2023.

Lana Condor's Early Life
Lana Condor was born in Vietnam. She spent her first few months in an orphanage in Cần Thơ. On October 6, 1997, she was adopted by American parents, Mary Carol Condor and Bob Condor, in Chicago, Illinois. They gave her the name Lana Condor.
Lana has an older brother named Arthur. He was also adopted from the same orphanage. Lana and her family lived in different places, including Whidbey Island, Washington, and New York City.
Her Journey in Dance and Acting
As a child, Lana loved to dance ballet. She trained with several famous dance schools. These included the Whidbey Island Dance Theater and the Joffrey Ballet. She also trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
Lana continued her dance training with the Los Angeles Ballet. She also learned improvisational acting at the Groundlings. She studied acting at the New York Film Academy. In 2014, she was a theater student at the California State Summer School for the Arts. She went to the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City for high school. Lana graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Los Angeles in 2015. She was accepted into Loyola Marymount University in 2016 but decided to focus on her acting career instead.
Lana Condor's Acting Career
Lana Condor started her acting career in 2016. Her first role was as the mutant character Jubilee in the superhero movie X-Men: Apocalypse. This film was directed by Bryan Singer. In the same year, she also appeared in the drama film Patriots Day. This movie was about the events of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Rising to Fame with To All the Boys
In 2017, Lana co-starred in the romantic thriller film High School Lover. The next year, she became widely known for her main role as Lara Jean Covey. This was in the Netflix romantic drama film To All the Boys I've Loved Before. The movie was based on Jenny Han's popular young adult novel. For her role, Lana was nominated for a Teen Choice Award.
In 2019, Lana played Saya Kuroki, an assassin, in the Syfy action drama series Deadly Class. This show was based on a Rick Remender comic book series. She also appeared as Koyomi in Robert Rodriguez's science fiction film Alita: Battle Angel. This film was based on a graphic novel series. Lana also voiced the character Kaoru in the Netflix animated series Rilakkuma and Kaoru. She was a guest voice in the Netflix series BoJack Horseman. She also co-starred in the romantic comedy Summer Night.
Continuing Success and New Roles
In 2020, Lana returned as Lara Jean Covey in To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You. This was the second movie in the series. The next year, she starred again as Lara Jean Covey in To All the Boys: Always and Forever. This was the third and final movie in the trilogy. Lana also started a YouTube channel in February 2020. Within two months, her channel had over 475,000 subscribers.
In 2022, Lana was an executive producer and starred in the Netflix comedy-drama series Boo, .... She played the main role of a high schooler named Erika Vu. That same year, she starred in the romantic sci-fi film Moonshot as Sophie Tsukino, alongside Cole Sprouse. She then voiced the main character in the animated film Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken for DreamWorks. In 2025, she played an army medic named Stephanie Selby in the military thriller Valiant One. Lana will also appear in the action-thriller Ballerina Overdrive. She will also be in the romantic-comedy Worth the Wait. She has a supporting role as Paige Avery in the live-action comedy film Coyote vs. Acme.
Lana Condor's Personal Life
Lana Condor started dating actor Anthony De La Torre in August 2015. They met at an Emmy Awards party. They lived together in Seattle for a while. They got engaged in December 2021 while on vacation in Mexico. Lana and Anthony got married in 2024 in a small ceremony in Malibu, California.
