Lancashire Tea is a special brand of tea from England. It is based in a town called Earlestown in Merseyside. The Lancashire Tea Company was started in 2006 by Paul Needham and his business partner, Lynn Hitchen. They wanted to create a tea brand just for Lancashire. It was also made to be a friendly rival to another famous tea, Yorkshire Tea.
What Kinds of Tea Do They Make?
Lancashire Tea makes many kinds of tea! They have their classic black tea blend. The company mixes 12 different teas from countries like Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, and Sumatra. They have also started making Rooibos tea, Green Tea, and even Coffee.
In 2009, the company gave their brand a fresh new look. They designed four new packages for their tea. People who were part of their Facebook group got to vote for their favorite design. This helped decide what the new packaging would look like. The tea packages show a map of the historic area of Lancashire.
