Langedijk was a special place in the Netherlands. It was a former municipality, which is like a local government area. You could find it in the province of North Holland, which is a region in the northwest part of the country.

Langedijk was given city rights in 1415. This meant it had special permissions and rules for its people. On January 1, 2022, Langedijk joined with another former municipality called Heerhugowaard. Together, they formed a brand new municipality named Dijk en Waard.
