Langston Kerman (born April 23, 1987) is an American actor, writer, and comedian. He is known for his roles in TV shows like Insecure and The Boys. Langston Kerman also writes and acts in the HBO Max series South Side. His first comedy album, Lightskinned Feelings, was recognized as one of the best comedy albums of 2018.

Langston Kerman's Early Life and School
Langston Kerman grew up in Oak Park, Illinois. His mother is African-American, and his father is white and Jewish. He earned his bachelor's degree in English from the University of Michigan in 2009. After college, he taught poetry at his old high school for a year. Later, Kerman received a master's degree in poetry from Boston University. After that, he decided to become a full-time stand-up comedian.

Langston Kerman has acted in several TV shows. These include Adam DeVine's House Party, High Maintenance, and Comedy Bang! Bang!. In 2016, famous comedian Chris Rock chose him to write for the 88th Academy Awards.
Becoming Known on Insecure
In 2016, Kerman got a regular acting role as Jered on the first season of Issa Rae's comedy-drama series Insecure. This role helped him become more widely recognized.

On September 28, 2018, Kerman had his own half-hour comedy special called Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents. It was titled Lightskinned Feelings. On the same day, he released a full-length comedy album with the same name. This album was recorded in San Francisco. Vulture magazine named it one of the 10 Best Comedy Albums of 2018.
In 2024, Kerman released his first full-length comedy special, Bad Poetry, on Netflix. Comedian John Mulaney directed it. Many critics praised the special. The New Yorker said it was a great example of comedy as an art form. Vulture called it a wonderful introduction to Kerman's unique style of comedy.
Voice Acting and Other TV Roles
Kerman also does voice-over work. He was in IMDb's 2019 animated series You're Not a Monster. He also appeared in the 2019 Comedy Central series The New Negroes. He is a writer and actor for the HBO Max series South Side.
He was a main actor in the second season of Bless This Mess. He also had a recurring role in the second season of The Boys. In 2022, Kerman co-created and starred in the Peacock series Bust Down. In 2023, he was cast in the Hulu mystery series The Other Black Girl. In September 2024, Kerman appeared in the FX comedy series English Teacher.
My Momma Told Me Podcast
In August 2020, Kerman started a comedy podcast called My Momma Told Me. It is on the iHeartRadio Network. On the podcast, he and his guests talk about different Black conspiracy theories. These are theories they heard from their mothers.
