Langston Kerman (born April 23, 1987) is a talented American actor, writer, and comedian. He is known for his roles in popular TV shows like Insecure and The Boys. Langston also writes for shows such as South Side. His first comedy album, Lightskinned Feelings, was named one of the best comedy albums of 2018.

About Langston Kerman
Early Life and School Days
Langston Kerman grew up in Oak Park, Illinois. His mother is African-American and his father is white and Jewish. He went to the University of Michigan and earned a bachelor's degree in English in 2009.
After college, he taught poetry at his old high school for a year. Later, he earned a master's degree in poetry from Boston University. After finishing his studies, Langston decided to become a full-time stand-up comedian.
Starting His Comedy and Acting Career
Langston Kerman has acted in several TV shows. These include Adam DeVine's House Party, High Maintenance, and Comedy Bang! Bang!. In 2016, famous comedian Chris Rock chose Langston to help write for the 88th Academy Awards. This was a big step in his career.
Becoming Known on TV
In 2016, Langston got a regular acting role as Jered on the TV show Insecure. This show was created by Issa Rae. His role on Insecure helped him become more widely recognized by audiences.
Comedy Specials and Albums
On September 28, 2018, Langston Kerman had his own half-hour comedy special called Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents. It was titled Lightskinned Feelings, and later changed to "White People Can Keep Secrets". On the same day, he also released a full hour-long comedy album with the same name. This album was recorded in San Francisco. The website Vulture listed it as one of the 10 Best Comedy Albums of 2018.

Langston also does voice-over work. He was a voice actor in the 2019 animated series You're Not a Monster. He also appeared in the 2019 Comedy Central series The New Negroes. Langston is also a writer and actor for the HBO Max series South Side.
He was a main actor in the second season of Bless This Mess. He also had a recurring role in the second season of The Boys.
Creating a Podcast
In August 2020, Langston Kerman started a comedy podcast called My Momma Told Me. It is part of the iHeartRadio Network. On the podcast, he and his guests talk about different Black conspiracy theories. These are often things they heard from their mothers.
New Shows and Specials
In 2022, Langston helped create and star in the Peacock series Bust Down. In 2023, he was cast in the Hulu mystery thriller series The Other Black Girl. This show is based on a popular novel from 2021.
In 2024, Langston released his first solo comedy special, Bad Poetry, on Netflix. Comedian John Mulaney directed it. Many critics praised the special. The New Yorker said his work was a way for comedy to be enjoyed in its purest form. Vulture called it a "stellar introduction" to his unique comedy style.
Langston also had a recurring role in the FX comedy series English Teacher. This show started in September 2024.
