Larry Donnell is a former American football player. He was born on November 1, 1988. Larry played as a tight end, a position that catches passes and blocks for teammates. He played college football at Grambling State University. Later, he joined the New York Giants in 2012.

Early Life and High School
Larry Donnell grew up in Ozark, Alabama. He went to Carroll High School. There, he was a talented athlete. He played football, basketball, and baseball.
College Football Career
Larry played football for four years at Grambling State University. When he first started, he was a quarterback. But during his first year, he changed positions to tight end. He became very good at this new role. By the end of his college career, he had caught 38 passes. He gained 432 yards and scored 11 touchdowns.
After college, Larry was not chosen in the NFL draft. This meant he was an "undrafted free agent."
Professional Football Journey
Larry Donnell did not play in the 2011 NFL season. He then signed with the New York Giants on March 13, 2012. He was later moved to the Giants' practice squad. This is a group of players who train with the team. They can be called up to play if needed.
Playing for the New York Giants
In 2013, Larry signed a new contract with the Giants. He played on special teams for most of the season. He also started one game as a tight end. He caught 3 passes for 31 yards that year.
On September 25, 2014, Larry had a fantastic game. It was a nationally televised game on Thursday Night Football. He scored 3 touchdowns! He caught 7 passes for 54 yards in total. He was the first Giants tight end to score three touchdowns in one game since 1962.
In March 2015, Larry was on a plane that had an accident during landing. Luckily, he was not hurt. He even shared pictures and videos of the event on his social media.
On October 11, 2015, Larry caught a 12-yard pass from Eli Manning. This pass was a game-winning touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers. It helped the Giants win the game.
Later in 2015, Larry suffered a neck injury. He had to miss several games. On December 8, 2015, his season ended early because of this injury. He was placed on injured reserve. After the 2015 season, his contract with the Giants ended. He signed a new one-year contract in April 2016. However, in February 2017, the Giants decided not to re-sign him.
Time with the Baltimore Ravens
On July 30, 2017, Larry Donnell signed with the Baltimore Ravens. But he was released by the Ravens on September 1, 2017. This happened during the final roster cuts before the season began.
