Where is Las Lomitas?
Las Lomitas is located in the northern part of Jim Hogg County. You can find it at these coordinates: 27°20′34″N 98°40′8″W / 27.34278°N 98.66889°W.
It shares a border on its west side with Hebbronville. Hebbronville is the main town, or "county seat," of Jim Hogg County. To the north, Las Lomitas borders Duval County.
Two main roads are important for Las Lomitas. Texas State Highway 16 runs along its western edge. This highway goes north about 38 miles to Freer. If you go south on Highway 16, it's about 2 miles to the center of Hebbronville.
Texas State Highway 359 forms the southeastern border. This road goes southwest into Hebbronville. If you head northeast on Highway 359, it's about 25 miles to Benavides.
The total area of Las Lomitas is about 10.2 square kilometers (or 3.9 square miles). All of this area is land, with no large bodies of water.
