Early Life and Family
Laura was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. When she was 16 years old, she decided to move to Chile. She studied theater there. Laura has a daughter named Tabata, who was born when Laura was 19. Laura and Tabata's father separated not long after Tabata was born.
Laura shared that her career started when she was just thirteen years old. Her brother encouraged her to become a model. She said, "My brother told me I had to be a model and took me to auditions. What he loved the most was that I was a model. I began at thirteen."

Laura Prieto began her career in entertainment at 13. She took modeling classes and went to many auditions. Her first TV appearance was on a show called El último pasajero, where she worked as a model.
