Lauren Amanda Silver (born March 22, 1993) is a professional footballer. She was born in the United States but plays for the Jamaica women's national football team. Lauren is a defender. She last played for the Houston Dash team.

Early Life and Soccer Start
Lauren Silver was born in Miami, Florida, on March 22, 1993. Her parents were both marathon runners. Her sister played soccer and encouraged Lauren to try the sport.
Lauren went to American Heritage School. This school is in Delray Beach, Florida. While there, she helped her team win state soccer championships. They won in both 2010 and 2011. In 2008, she joined the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program. This program helps young players improve their skills.
College Soccer Career
From 2011 to 2014, Lauren attended the University of Florida. She played for the Florida Gators women's soccer team. Playing in college helped her develop her skills even more.
Professional Club Journey
Lauren Silver started her professional journey in 2015. She joined the Houston Dash team for a trial. Later that year, she signed with Bollstanäs SK in Sweden. This team plays in Sweden's second division, called Elitettan. She was a starting player in eight games and scored one goal. She also scored a goal for the team in the 2015 Swedish Women's Cup.
In 2016, Lauren joined FC Kansas City for their pre-season. She then played for FC Metz in France. She made four appearances for them. In March 2017, she moved to Glasgow City in Scotland. She left the club a couple of months later. In February 2019, she signed a one-year contract with SK Trondheims-Ørn in Norway. She returned to the Houston Dash on a short-term contract in September 2020.
Playing for Jamaica
Even though Lauren was born in the United States, she could play for Jamaica. This was because her maternal grandfather was from Jamaica. She played her first international game in the 2014 CONCACAF Women's Championship.
In 2019, Lauren was chosen to be part of Jamaica's team for the FIFA Women's World Cup. This was Jamaica's first time ever in the Women's World Cup. She played her first game in the tournament against Italy.
