Leandro Montera da Silva, known simply as Leandro, is a Brazilian footballer. He was born on February 12, 1985, in São Paulo, Brazil. Leandro played as a striker, which means his main job was to score goals for his team.

Leandro's Football Journey
Leandro started playing football at a young age. From 1993 to 1999, he was part of the youth team at Corinthians. He then moved to Nacional (SP) for his youth training from 2000 to 2004.
Early Professional Career
Leandro began his professional career with Nacional (SP) in 2005. He also had short periods playing for São Paulo and Omiya Ardija on loan. A loan means a player temporarily plays for another team. In 2006, he played for Montedio Yamagata, where he scored 23 goals in 40 matches.
Playing in Japan and Qatar
Leandro spent a significant part of his career playing in Japan. He joined Vissel Kobe in 2007 and played there for two seasons. He then moved to Gamba Osaka in 2009.
Later in 2009, Leandro moved to Qatar to play for Al-Sadd Sports Club. He was a key player there, scoring many goals. In 2012, he had a short loan spell with Al Rayyan Sports Club, where he scored 4 goals in just 4 matches.
He returned to Gamba Osaka on loan in June 2012 and played there until June 2013. After his time in Qatar, he came back to Japan. He played for Kashiwa Reysol from 2014 to 2015. He then returned to Vissel Kobe for a second time, playing there until 2018. His last club in Japan was Tokyo Verdy, where he played from 2018 to 2020. In 2021, he played for Nacional (SP) again.
