Lee Hsin (Chinese: 李新; 16 July 1953 – 28 September 2017) was a politician from Taiwan. He served as a member of the Taipei City Council for many years. He was a council member from 1998 until he passed away in 2017. Lee Hsin could speak both Mandarin Chinese and Hokkien fluently.

Political Career of Lee Hsin
Lee Hsin began his political journey in the early 1990s. In 1993, he left the Kuomintang party to join the New Party. This was a new political group at the time.
In 1996, Lee Hsin was chosen to be a member of the National Assembly. This was an important part of the government back then. Later, in 2006, he joined a big campaign. This campaign wanted President Chen Shui-bian to step down from his role.
In 2008, Lee Hsin decided to rejoin the Kuomintang party. He stayed with this party for the rest of his career.
Lee Hsin's Bid for Party Leadership
In 2015, Lee Hsin showed interest in becoming the leader of the Kuomintang party. He wanted to be the chairman. However, his request to run for the position was not accepted. Four other people also had their requests turned down.
The next year, in 2016, he tried again to become the party leader. This time, he was one of four candidates. He finished third in the election. He received 7,604 votes from party members.
Lee Hsin was a member of different political parties during his life. He was part of the New Party and the People First Party. He later joined the Kuomintang party.
Personal Life of Lee Hsin
Lee Hsin passed away on September 28, 2017. He was 64 years old at the time. He died in Daan District, Taipei City, Taiwan.
