Lee Ernest Suggs Jr. was born on August 11, 1980. He is a former American football player. Lee played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL). He first played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies. Later, he joined the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins in the NFL.

Early Life and High School Football
Lee Suggs went to William Fleming High School. In his senior year of high school in 1998, he was an amazing player. He ran for 2,918 yards and scored 30 touchdowns. This great performance made him one of the top running backs in the country.
College Football Career
Lee Suggs played college football at Virginia Tech. He set some impressive records there that he still holds today.
- He scored a touchdown in 14 games during the 2002 season. This is an NCAA record for most games scoring a touchdown in one season.
- He scored a touchdown in 27 games in a row, from 2000 to 2002. During this time, he scored 54 touchdowns!
- He also holds Virginia Tech's school records for rushing touchdowns. He scored 27 rushing touchdowns in one season and 53 rushing touchdowns in his whole college career.
Because of his many achievements, Lee Suggs was added to the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame.
Professional Football Career
Playing for the Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns picked Lee Suggs in the 2003 NFL draft. He was the 115th player chosen overall. In one game in 2003, he had a fantastic performance. He ran for 186 yards and scored two touchdowns against the Cincinnati Bengals. One of his touchdown runs was 78 yards long!
In 2004, Lee had his best year in the NFL. He gained 922 yards in only 10 games. However, he faced several injuries. He was traded to the New York Jets in 2006, but the trade didn't happen because he failed a physical exam. He then returned to the Browns but was later released.
Playing for the Miami Dolphins
After leaving the Browns, the Miami Dolphins signed Lee Suggs on September 3, 2006. However, he was released by the Dolphins on October 10, 2006.
Coaching Career
After his playing career, Lee Suggs became a football coach. He started coaching running backs at Oberlin College in 2008. Currently, he is the running back coach at the Catholic University of America.
