Legend of the Dragon is an exciting animated TV show. It has 39 episodes across two seasons. The series was made by BKN and first aired in the UK on CBBC in 2005. In the US, it premiered on Jetix (part of Toon Disney) in 2006.

What the Show is About

The story begins when the old Golden Dragon Guardian passes away. Now, a new guardian must be chosen! Ang and Ling Leung are 17-year-old twins, both born in the year of the Dragon. They are next in line to get the Golden Dragon power band. This special band gives its user amazing powers to protect the world from evil.

Ang doesn't think he will be chosen. His sister, Ling, is the best fighter at their Dragon dojo. Ling is sure she will become the next Golden Dragon. But when Master Chin calls on the power of the Golden Dragon, it chooses Ang!

Ling feels very angry and embarrassed. She leaves the temple and is tempted by the dark power of the Shadow Dragon. From then on, Ang has to fight his own twin sister.

In the first season's last episode, Ling is taken over by even darker magic. This magic comes from the evil Emperor of the Darkest Ying. He orders her to take Ang's power band. But Master Chin tells Ling she would have to hurt Ang to get it. Ling is horrified and breaks free from the darkness. She cannot hurt her brother.

Master Chin then reveals it was a test for Ling. He explains that because she is Ang's twin, she can also become a Golden Dragon. Chin combines the good and bad energies of both power bands. This gives Ang and Ling even stronger Dragon Fire powers. Now they are "Double Golden Dragons" and twice as strong when they work together!

The second season starts with Ling back home as the second Golden Dragon. She fights alongside Ang, Master Chin, and the Guardians of the Tiger and Monkey Temples. Their goal is to stop the Zodiac Master and the Emperor of the Darkest Ying for good.

The Emperor attacks and destroys the Golden Dragon Temple. This makes Ang and Ling's power bands very weak. Master Chin suggests they go to the long-lost Shadow Dragon Temple. They can use its dark energy to recharge their power bands. Ling was once a Shadow Dragon, so she feels tempted by the temple's dark influence. But with Master Chin's help, they recharge their bands safely.

Meanwhile, the Emperor frees his younger sister, Yin Wi. She is the Guardian of the Shadow Rat. She was locked away for a thousand years by a past Golden Dragon. The two siblings plan to take over the world and get revenge on the twelve guardians. They especially want to defeat the Golden Dragon.
