Leilani Franco's Early Life and Training
Leilani Franco started her journey as a performer when she was just six years old. She grew up in Manila, Philippines. During her youth, she learned many different skills. These included playing the piano, dancing, martial arts, and gymnastics.
She continued her training until she was sixteen. In the Philippines, she joined the Philippine Ballet Theatre. Later, she moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. From 2005, she studied at the École nationale de cirque. She earned a special diploma in Contortion and Circus Arts in 2008. She also studied Chinese pole dancing.
Amazing Performances and Records
From 2008 to 2010, Leilani worked only with Cirque Éloize as a contortionist. In 2011, she moved to London. There, she began working as a freelance artist. She performed in many different places. These included popular clubs and cabaret shows like The Box Soho and Cafe de Paris. She also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Since 2013, Leilani has been part of a show called Little Big World in Germany. This show was created by Sebastiano Toma. She also performed in the show Dummy at the Chameleon Theatre.
Leilani holds two amazing Guinness World Records. One record is for traveling 20 meters (about 65 feet) while bent backward. She did this in just 10.05 seconds! Her other record is for the fastest contortion roll over 20 meters. She completed this in 17.47 seconds.
