Juan Leonardo Santillia Rojas (born October 18, 1984) is a talented musician from Ecuador. He became famous after winning the fifth season of a TV show called Das Supertalent. This show is like the German version of Britain's Got Talent.

Leo Rojas's Journey
Moving to Europe
Leo Rojas left his home country, Ecuador, in the year 2000. He first moved to Spain. His family stayed behind in Ecuador. Later, he traveled to Germany multiple times using a tourist visa. He now lives in Berlin, Germany, with his Polish wife.
Becoming a Street Performer
In Berlin, Leo Rojas earned money by performing music on the streets. He played beautiful melodies for people passing by. One day, someone told him about a TV talent show called Das Supertalent.
The Supertalent Competition
Leo Rojas decided to try out for the fifth season of Das Supertalent in 2011. He did very well and made it to the final rounds. In the semi-finals, he played a famous song called "El cóndor pasa". He used a pan flute and other wind instruments from South America.
His performance was very special. During the show, he had an emotional reunion with his mother, who traveled all the way from Ecuador. This made his performance even more touching for everyone watching.
Winning the Show
On December 17, 2011, Leo Rojas competed in the finals. He performed an instrumental song called "The Lonely Shepherd." This song was written by James Last and was a big hit in 1977. Leo Rojas played it wonderfully and won the competition by a large margin.
After the Win
After winning Das Supertalent, Leo Rojas's winning song was released. It quickly became popular, reaching number 48 on the German music charts during Christmas week. On January 27, 2012, he released his first album. It was called "Spirit of the Hawk" and featured many well-known instrumental pieces.
The famous producer Dieter Bohlen helped create the album. "Spirit of the Hawk" was very successful. It reached the top 5 on music charts in German-speaking countries. By the end of February 2012, it had already sold enough copies to earn a gold record in Germany.
