Alleyona Canedo da Silva (born November 6, 1969), known as Leona Cavalli, is a Brazilian actress and stage director. She has starred in many TV shows, movies, and plays.

About Leona Cavalli
Her Early Life
Leona Cavalli was born Alleyona Canedo da Silva. Her father was a politician, a lawyer, and a poet. Her mother was a teacher. Leona has three brothers. Her mother wanted to name her Leona, but her father thought it was too strong for a baby. So, they named her Alleyona instead. The name Cavalli comes from her godparents.
Leona grew up close to nature. She played in the fields, rode horses, climbed trees, and swam. Her father was the mayor of their city twice. This taught Leona to be comfortable around many people from a young age. Her mother taught her to love beauty and freedom.
Becoming an Actress
When Leona was ten years old, she already loved to travel and wanted to be an actress. She studied Performing Arts at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. She also studied law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. But she decided to leave university to become a professional actress in São Paulo.
Leona has acted in many plays. Some of them include A Divina Sarah and As Lágrimas Amargas de Petra Von Kant.
Her Career in Film and TV
Leona has appeared in several films. Some of her well-known movies are Um Céu de Estrelas, Amarelo Manga, Carandiru, and Olga.
She has also been in many popular TV shows and miniseries. These include Da Cor do Pecado, Belíssima, and Duas Caras. In 2010, she played Margot in the miniseries Dalva e Herivelto. She also appeared in episodes of As Cariocas and A Vida Alheia.
In 2011, Leona had a small role in the soap opera Araguaia. She then played Dr. Celina in A Vida da Gente. In 2012, she was in an episode of the series As Brasileiras. She also played the character Zarolha in the TV show Gabriela. In 2013, she acted as Dr. Glauce in the soap opera Amor à Vida.
