History of Leonardville
Leonardville was founded in 1881. It was named after Leonard T. Smith, who was an important official for the railroad at that time. A post office, which helps send and receive mail, has been operating in Leonardville since 1882. This means people have been sending letters and packages from Leonardville for a very long time!
