Leszek Możdżer (born Lesław Henryk Możdżer on March 23, 1971) is a famous Polish musician. He is best known as a jazz pianist. He also produces music and writes music for movies.

Life and Music Career

Leszek Możdżer was born in Gdańsk, Poland. He started playing the piano when he was five years old. His parents suggested he learn the instrument. In 1996, he finished his studies at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. He studied piano there.

He began his music journey playing with different bands. He worked with clarinettist Emil Kowalewski's band. Later, he joined the Miłość music band. Leszek has also worked with famous movie music composers. These include Jan A.P. Kaczmarek and Zbigniew Preisner.

Awards and Recognition

Leszek Możdżer has won many awards for his music. In 1994, he won first place at an international jazz contest in Katowice. He was named "Jazzman of the Year" in 1998.

In 2001, he received the Ad Astra Award. This award is given to talented young musicians in Poland. He also won the Paszport Polityki Award in 2004. This award is for achievements in entertainment.
