About the Story: A Trip to Italy
The movie follows a young American woman named Sophie, played by Amanda Seyfried. Sophie travels to Verona, Italy. Verona is known as the romantic city where Romeo first met Juliet.
Finding a Lost Letter
In Verona, Sophie meets a group of people who help answer letters. These letters are written to Juliet, asking for love advice. Sophie finds a very old letter that has been lost for 50 years. She decides to write an answer to it.
A New Adventure Begins
Sophie is surprised when the letter's author, Claire, arrives in Italy. Claire is played by Vanessa Redgrave. Claire comes with her grandson, Christopher Egan, who is handsome but a bit overprotective. Claire wants to find the person she loved many years ago.
Sophie is excited by Claire's search for her long-lost love, Lorenzo. Sophie joins them on an amazing adventure. They travel through the beautiful hills of Tuscany. This journey changes their lives forever. They learn that it's never too late to find true love.
